A couple of weeks ago, The National NeedleArt Association hosted their Spring market here in the D.C. area. So, we were thrilled when founders of Loopy Mango, Waejong Kim and Anna Pulvermakher, asked us if we would host a Loopy Mango trunk show and demonstration here at the Finch. If there is one thing that is certain, the Finch and the Finchettes love Loopy Mango. How could we not say no??!
Of course, it wouldn't be a Finch event without some sort of cocktail, we even had yarn ball stirrers to go with them. We cracked open a bottle of champagne then toasted to all things Loopy Mango! Our guests tried on various Loopy Mango sweaters while mingling with other guests, including Waejong and Anna. The Loopy Mango ladies are as lovely as their yarns. Both are amazing women with such unique backgrounds. It was an honor and a pleasure to have them here for the evening.
Everyone got a chance to see a demonstration on how to add sleeves to a sweater and an arm knitting demonstration. Waejong is a wonderful teacher and so is Anna.
A major thank you to all who came out to help make this event a success. For those who were not able to make it, the Loopy Mango trunk show will be here until the end of June! Be sure to stop by and check it out before it is too late. We have lots of Loopy Mango in stock in case one of the trunk show garments strikes your fancy. We will even send you the pattern.
And just a heads up...we plan on having a Yarn Tasting event soon. Below is a teaser. More information coming soon. We hope to see you soon.
