Service Description

Level: Ready to take it to the next level! Step into the world of mitten knitting with our engaging in-person class designed to help you create your first pair of cozy mittens. We will introduce you to the fundamental construction techniques for mittens using an easy and manageable yarn gauge (not too chunky, but not lightweight.... just right, really!). Not only will you learn a valuable new skill set, but you'll also have the perfect handmade gifts for your loved ones. Our experienced instructor (NICOLE) will guide you through the process, covering essential techniques such as casting on for mittens, shaping the thumb gusset, and creating a cozy ribbed cuff. You will gain confidence in knitting in the round as you make not just one, but TWO mitts at one time. By the end of the class, you'll have a beautiful pair of mittens ready to keep your hands warm or gift to someone special. Join us for this enjoyable class and embark on a knitting journey that will leave you with both practical skills and heartfelt presents. Supplies - ALL available at FINCH*: Worsted weight yarn in a color of your choice (sufficient quantity for a pair of mittens) 2 sets of Double-pointed knitting needles in appropriate sizes (we'll need one set per mitt) Colored Stitch markers Tapestry needle Mitten pattern (included) Skills covered in class: Casting on and knitting in the round Picking up stitches Shaping the thumb gusset Creating a ribbed cuff *10% discount for all class supplies purchased in store. Supplies not included unless otherwise stated. FINCH Classes are for adults only unless otherwise noted.

Cancellation Policy

CLASS + EVENT POLICIES (In-person and Online)* • Full payment is due upon signing up for a class, whether in-person or online. If you prefer to pay by cash or check, the spot is not held until payment has been made. • 100% of class fees are refundable or transferable to another class if cancellation is made at least 72 hours before the class, whether in-person or online. • There is NO REFUND or TRANSFER to another class if upon cancellation LESS THAN 72 HOURS OF NOTICE IS GIVEN before the start date of the class, whether in-person or online. Sorry, we are unable to make exceptions. This ensures that other students waiting for a seat in full classes are not missing learning opportunities due to late cancellations. • No-shows forfeit any refund or exchange. *EXCLUDES RETREATS- See Retreat listing for specific policies.
