Level: Ready to try a shawl & easy lace on easy yarn! Dive into the serene world of shawl knitting with our in-person class featuring the enchanting Mellow Sun Shawl. This triangular shawl, worked flat from top down, will take you on a relaxing knitting journey through lace, shawl increases, and bobbles. We will begin with the Garter Tab Cast On. As we progress, you'll learn the captivating Lacy Lattice Pattern, encounter delightful bobbles, master the 3x1 Rib, and conclude with the elegant Picot Bind Off. This versatile shawl will become your go-to companion on colder days, adding a touch of warmth and style to any outfit. Under the expert guidance of our instructor, you'll develop confidence in lace knitting techniques, including yarn overs, decreases, and bobble creation. Additionally, you'll gain valuable insights into shawl shaping and finishing techniques. Join us for this relaxing and entertaining knit-along as we create the Mellow Sun Shawl, a true masterpiece to cherish or gift to someone special. Supplies - ALL available at FINCH*: Extra by Blue Sky, an Aran weight yarn in a color of your choice (sufficient quantity for the shawl) Circular knitting needles in appropriate sizes Colored stitch markers Tapestry needle Shawl pattern: Mellow Sun by Isabell Kramer (download in store on ravelry) Blocking tools (blocking kit by Cocoknits) Skills covered in class include: Garter Tab Cast On Stockinette Stitch Lace knitting techniques Bobble creation 3x1 Rib Picot Bind Off Basic knitting tools will be available for use at FINCH during class time. *10% discount for all class supplies purchased in store. Cancellation Policy

CLASS + EVENT POLICIES (In-person and Online)* • Full payment is due upon signing up for a class, whether in-person or online. If you prefer to pay by cash or check, the spot is not held until payment has been made. • 100% of class fees are refundable or transferable to another class if cancellation is made at least 72 hours before the class, whether in-person or online. • There is NO REFUND or TRANSFER to another class if upon cancellation LESS THAN 72 HOURS OF NOTICE IS GIVEN before the start date of the class, whether in-person or online. Sorry, we are unable to make exceptions. This ensures that other students waiting for a seat in full classes are not missing learning opportunities due to late cancellations. • No-shows forfeit any refund or exchange. *EXCLUDES RETREATS- See Retreat listing for specific policies.
