Level: Confident Beginner Our foundation paper piecing workshop is the perfect extension for the confident beginner. Whether you still feel like a beginner or have some experience but want to improve your skills, this class is for you. In this class, you'll learn all the basics of foundation paper piecing, including how to choose and prepare fabric, how to set your machine up for FPP, the basics of single block FPP, FPP for blocks with multiple pieces. We will start with traditional blocks and move up to the tall tales block by the end of the workshop. Skills covered in class include: Fabric Selection Color Theory Fabric Selection Color Theory FPP Basics FPP for blocks with multiple pieces This is a technique class. Students will not have homework or finished quilt tops at the end of class, but they will hopefully continue practicing their FPP that was started in the class. Please note, all FINCH Classes are designed with an adult student in mind unless specifically stated in the class description. We ask that you only register for this class if you are 18 or older. Supplies - ALL available at F I N C H*: Required: Fabric: Various coordinating scraps for basic blocks, text print, focal print, and background for tall tales bock Thread Tall Tales Quilt Block Pattern from Kate Basti Optional but helpful: Fabric glue pen Rotary Cutter and mat 12”x12” acrylic ruler 6”x24” acrylic ruler Iron and ironing board Sewing machine Pins Thread snips Basic sewing/quilting tools will be available for use at Finch during class time, but students who need to finish work at home may need additional supplies. *We provide a 10% discount for all class supplies purchased in-store. Supplies are not included unless otherwise stated.

If you prefer to pay by cash or check, the spot is not held until payment has been made. • 100% of class fees are refundable or transferable to another class if cancellation is made at least 72 hours before the class, whether in-person or online. • There is NO REFUND or TRANSFER to another class if upon cancellation LESS THAN 72 HOURS OF NOTICE IS GIVEN before the start date of the class, whether in-person or online. Sorry, we are unable to make exceptions.
