Service Description

Attendance in Part 1 not required. Bring an Alabama Chanin project that you've started, two pieces should be ready to stitch together at least along the border. Now that you've tackled appliqué, we'll get to make our embellished pieces into the most beautiful garment you've made yet! In this part of the Alabama Workshop, learn how to fit and construct the garment. We'll tackle binding and seams together, because TOGETHER is what makes it manageable! During the afternoon workshop, our skilled instructor will guide you through the techniques of Alabama Chanin style sewing, teaching you how to achieve impeccable results with knit fabric construction. You'll learn to seam your pieces, how to apply binding, and gathering stitches techniques. Our custom kit includes premium knit fabric, prepared in your chosen size, allowing you to focus on the art of sewing without the hassle of cutting and measuring. Feel the joy of creating a unique and artistic piece that reflects your personal style. After a productive afternoon of sewing, we'll gather for a refreshment to celebrate this gorgeous project social at a local restaurant. Share your sewing journey, exchange tips and ideas, and celebrate your creative accomplishments with fellow participants. Join us for this enriching experience that blends creativity, craftsmanship, and camaraderie as you bring your knit appliqué vision to reality in the esteemed Alabama Chanin style. Cancellation Policy

CLASS + EVENT POLICIES (In-person and Online)* • Full payment is due upon signing up for a class, whether in-person or online. If you prefer to pay by cash or check, the spot is not held until payment has been made. • 100% of class fees are refundable or transferable to another class if cancellation is made at least 72 hours before the class, whether in-person or online. • There is NO REFUND or TRANSFER to another class if upon cancellation LESS THAN 72 HOURS OF NOTICE IS GIVEN before the start date of the class, whether in-person or online. Sorry, we are unable to make exceptions.
