Service Description

Level: Anyone wanting to learn to cable and pick up stitches!  This bulky, slouchy knit hat is a great opportunity to learn several new skills in one quick, cute project! In this class, you will learn a provisional cast-on, cabling, grafting, picking up stitches, knitting in the round on DPNs, and how to make a pompom. But don’t worry—each of these skills happens independently throughout the project, so you will only be working on one new skill at a time! Supplies - available at F I N C H: The ideal yarn choices will be discussed and selected during the first class. Size US 10.5 16” circulars and DPNs, or size needed to obtain gauge For the first class, please bring a crochet hook if you have one Skills covered: Knitting in the Round Stockinette Stitch Using Contrasting Color Kitchener Stitch Decreasing Stitches Working with Double-pointed-needles Small-circumference Knitting Pompom Making Homework depends on how much you can finish in class. We’ll have new concepts for each class, so to stay with the group, you likely will have to finish up sections between classes. *10% discount for all class supplies purchased in-store. Supplies are not included unless otherwise stated. FINCH Classes are for adults only unless otherwise noted.

Cancellation Policy

If you prefer to pay by cash or check, the spot is not held until payment has been made. • 100% of class fees are refundable or transferable to another class if cancellation is made at least 72 hours before the class, whether in-person or online. • There is NO REFUND or TRANSFER to another class if upon cancellation LESS THAN 72 HOURS OF NOTICE IS GIVEN before the start date of the class, whether in-person or online. Sorry, we are unable to make exceptions.
