Service Description

Level: Advanced Beginner Can one sweater really transform your closet? Uh, yeah. Definitely. This one. It’s truly a sweater pattern for all seasons, and it is a Finch family fave! The Ranunculus is a quick and fun, top-down yoke pullover with lace and textured stitches that looks and feels completely different depending on which needle size and yarn weight you use. Yarn can be anything from lace, light fingering to worsted weight, which will alter how airy or cozy the sweater looks and feels. This pattern lets you also pick a smaller or wider neckline, sleeve length, and crop or longer length. Skills covered in class: Swatching/making gauge Yarn and needle selection Knitting in the round Sweater construction Yoke Top down Raglan sleeves Tubular and Double-Twist Loop Cast Ons Adjusting for length Positive Ease Short rows Lace and textured stitches Picking up stitches Holding stitches Magic loop vs DPNs (for sleeves) To stay on pace with the class, you’ll need to knit between classes. But if you fall behind, no worries! Join us for any Knit Night to get additional help or just have fun knitting with a group. Please note, all FINCH Classes are designed with an adult student in mind, unless specifically stated in the class description.  We ask that you only register for this class if you are 18 or older.
